TRU-VENT
The X-FLOW TRU-VENT Through Tubing Bridge Plug has evolved into one of the problem solvers for the special service engineer when performing a plugback operation in casing without the benefit of pulling tubing. As long as the well is serviceable by wireline the TRU-VENT will set dependably and ensure your project's success.
The TRU-VENT plug is unique and in a class by itself. It solves the cement contamination problem associated with other so-called "vented" bridge plugs. The High Cross Flow bridge plug is based on a patented design by Harold Owen. The bridge plugs are built with the necessary components that will insure effective control of the different types of migrating hydrocarbons that can contaminate oil well cement while performing the initial plugback operation.
When the plug is ejected from its setting sleeve, approximately 1', the lower set of slips engage the casing holding the plug firmly in place. The setting sleeve assembly is pulled uphole leaving the expanded fabric covered packers and remaining slips firmly anchored in the casing. The top packers serves as a bridging retainer for sand and cement. Normally, 18" to 24" of Ceramic Shot are dumped 18" to 24" below the vent valve. Wait a minimum of 18 hours after the last dump bailer run before closing the valve.
The TRU-VENT plug set in plastic setting indicates an excellent seal against cement or gas contamination and stability of the fluid column above the plug.
